Douds Trip
Photo Home
After our trip to Douds, IA, we headed east to Burlington for a couple of performances. It was there we met our new friend, Al Ourth. What a great guy. He sent me some pictures, so I just had to scan them and get them on the web. First of all, let me say that the church was absolutely beautiful! To the right is a shot of one of the many stained glass windows - they were everywhere!
We also met four fine men from just above Burlington. They opened both concerts and did a great job. I was glad to see there is good quartet singing up north. They had terrific harmony (almost like barber shop). Thanks for the great music guys! Below is a shot of one of the congregations in Iowa. These were some of the nicest folks we've been around! Everyone was so gracious. We had a great time conversing and visiting with everyone.
A Few More Shots . . .

Lazy, lazy Bradley. Actually, we were all pretty tired by the end of the trip!
With all the snow and cold, the folks of Iowa were kind enough to give us some ear muffs for the road!
Here we are with Al Ourth and his mother . . .what a sweet lady!
Sangin' our hearts out!
